Little Leia was 7 days old when she came to see me for her newborn session. Such a sweet little girl and so incredibly loved by her mum and dad.
No two newborn sessions are the same and sessions become unique to a family when there is the addition of a family heirloom or a special little item that means something very special to them.
Leia's mum and dad brought along some beautiful pieces that belonged to Leia's great grandmother.
I am sure that great-grandma would be smiling down on us as we placed Leia on her beautiful fur stole during her newborn session. The fur stole was a perfect soft layer to lay her on.
We choose to use neutral colours to compliment the beautiful warm colours in the fur stole. We also included great-grandma's jewellery, and in the image of Leia holding the necklace I am sure I can see a little smile on her lips.
As I looked at the photo of Leias great-grandmother I could see a family resemblance between her and Leia. I wondered if Leia would also enjoy getting dressed up in pretty dresses and jewellery to go out dancing the way her great-grandmother did.
I can see Leia dressing up in these as she gets older - what little girl doesn't love to dress-up.
