What to expect at your newborn session
Your session will take place in my Ohauiti home, Tauranga. I want you to feel at home while you are here. Its time for you to put your feet up, relax and let me take care of your baby.
The room will be warm and toasty so wear something comfortable and cool.
Layers are a good idea as you can add or remove clothing as needed.
Clothing in neutral tones photograph beautifully. Avoid large patterns or logos as they can be distracting in the photos.
Bring along a change of clothes as it is not uncommon for a wee accident (excuse the pun) along the way.
I like to allow plenty of time for feeding, soothing and settling during the season - its not uncommon for the first hour to be taken up with feeding and soothing. Some babies like to snuggle a bit longer before they fall asleep.
Bring along a favourite book or maybe your ipad to catch up on the outside world and social media.
Bring along a snack in case you get hungry. You will be able to make yourself at home while here so you can help yourself to tea, coffee or filtered water.
I have wraps and swaddles to wrap baby in so you do't need to bring anything along. However if you have a family heirloom or something very special that means a lot to you then feel free to bring that with you.
Once your session is booked I will send you a 'getting ready for your session info sheet'. This will go into more depth.
